December 2011 Acute Care ARO Prevalence Study The first ever ARO Prevalence Study was conducted country wide in November 2010. An interesting finding: Researchers reviewed the data to determine if any facility or IPAC program characteristics affected the prevalence rates of MRSA, VRE, or CDI. Prevalence rates did NOT vary by hospital size, annual # of admissions, teaching versus non-teaching status, #ICPs/100 beds, or the presence of a hospital epidemiology. February 4, 2011
